Big bet on San Pedro de Alcántara, the new boulevard.

The boulevard decorating the surface of the burial of San Pedro de Alcántara tunnel will open later this year as announced Angeles Muñoz, the mayor of Marbella.

Of the 55,000 square meters that will cover the tunnel, 11,000 will be occupied by green areas that will have about 500 trees, 32,000 aromatic plants and lawn.
In this area there will also be seven zones of water features from sizes between 3,500 and 4,000 square meters long and over 1,000 points of light.  Also about 1400 meters will be dedicated to rest areas and six areas will be dedicated to playgrounds with different types of games for every age group.

In the south part of the park there will be three bars, an outdoor amphitheater with seating for 500 people, a gourmet market and a place for smaller events with a grandstand that will house 135 people will be built.

There will also be a sports area with more than one km of bike lanes and an area of 1,500 square meters for a skating rink at the east end of the park.

On the boulevard of San Pedro, there will be sufficient parking to meet the demand of visitors, as 280 spaces for vehicles, 60 for motorcycles, 100 bicycles and for 9 buses will be built.

This project, with an investment of over 6,000,000 Euros is considered a great bet to transform and revitalize areas of San Pedro de Alcántara and Guadalmina.

The boulevard of San Pedro will greatly increase the value of this area, even though it, it is already considered a great area to live in due to the
